With its unique distilling process and twelve robust flavours, the difference in taste and technique of Sơn Tinh Original Rượu (Vietnamese Rice Liquor) over other spirits such as vodka and shōchū are obvious. From its beginning, while contending in international beverage competitions, it became apparent that Sơn Tinh needed to be distinguished in a class of its own.
It is now, more than ever since its inception in the late 1990s, that Sơn Tinh is not only breaking away from the pack, but it is also leading it. The rượu spirit is becoming known for its distinctiveness and is increasingly being recognised as a category and experience of its own.
Blind taste triumphed in Singapore
Singapore World Spirits is an Asian-wide competition. It helps raise awareness of improving quality and promote the name of Asian distillers.

THE 50 BEST COMPETITION - NEW YORK CITY, US
The Fifty Best held a blind tasting with 15 members of the spirits judging panel and 10 liqueurs. The judges were informed of the flavours during the tasting, but not the brands. Strict tasting rules were applied. The order of service was established beforehand by lottery. Each of the spirits were poured into fresh glasses from new sealed bottles, and served at slightly above room temperature. Only ice water and neutral, unsalted chips and crackers were available to cleanse the palate.
